In the third quarter of 2024, the top music and podcasts applications on a unified platform in Algeria showcased varying performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Deezer: Music Player, Podcast from DEEZER SA saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly revenue, peaking at about $169 in the week of July 22. Meanwhile, the app's weekly downloads started strong with 726 in the second week of July and settled around 524 by the end of September. The number of weekly active users showed a decline from approximately 12.4K at the beginning of July to 7.5K by the end of the quarter.

YouTube Music, developed by Google, experienced significant shifts in weekly revenue, with highs of $254 in late July and some dips to $15 in mid-September. Weekly downloads remained robust, beginning at 11.9K and consistently maintaining above 11K throughout the quarter. The app's active users saw a slight increase from 104K to 110.8K by the end of September.

Anghami: Play Music & Podcasts, hailing from Lebanon, had a notable revenue peak of $173 in early September. Weekly downloads varied, reaching a peak of 4.2K in late September. Active users showed a downward trend, from over 312.5K to about 270.2K during this period.

Spotify - Music and Podcasts, operated by Spotify, recorded modest weekly revenue, averaging around $40 throughout the quarter. Downloads remained strong, with a notable increase to 25.8K in the final week of September. Active users steadily increased, reaching approximately 342.9K by the end of the quarter.

TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from 101 in early July and climbing to 318 by the end of September. Weekly active users saw a similar upward trend, growing from 229 to 458 over the quarter.
